We asked Don how he made this cocktail and this was his reply, “it was 1/2 oz simple syrup and a few sprigs if mint leaves muddled in the glass, fill glass with crushed ice and 2 1/2 oz Von Payne Black. Quick stir and enjoy!” “I like the name Dark Horse since it is a drink centered around the Kentucky Derby.”
